In this project I tapped into the intimacy and vulnerability of a body, in a private space.
It started from photographs, stills from a video in a bedroom in which I enacted a moment of distress - what could be a bad dream. I related these to the bodies of branches and pieces of trees which had fallen in the family garden during a storm. Each photograph is partially obscured by a semitransparent layer of oil drenched, tinted rice paper which emulates an overexposed photograph, or stained sheets.
